The 1st floor of all of our projects is designed to be at least 2 feet above the high water mark established from the flood zone map created after Hurricane Ivan which the 2004 Category 5 considered to be a "Hundred Year Storm" bringing damage and flooding not witnessed since the Storm of 1932.
Full concrete block structure on ground floors ensure that if, by chance, there is flooding, the interior walls will be able to withstand the water and will not need to be replaced.
Our unique Hurricane strap technique anchors roof to the ceiling joist and the rafters while also using twice the amount of hurricane straps as required by zoning regulations.
Shingled-roofed buildings are constructed with parapet walls, which provide significant protection against the types of roof vulnerabilities that can trigger wind related uplifts or part or all of the roof.
Top Hurricane grade impact-resistant windows and doors are used in all of our projects.
